To all Bob's friends and colleagues - I have felt your love and concern each time I read or viewed this site. Thank you so very much for your kind and generous help. I want to give you all some background on the Robert McHugh Education Fund and how it supports Kyle and Kristen "Krissy" McHugh.
Kyle is a sophomore at Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He's in the Honors program, which is designed to bring together like-minded ambitious students. Kyle is a Math major and he studies Latin and Greek as well. He is a gentle spirit who resembles his dad in his analytical thinking and good humor. As a freshman, he was invited to a Latin party where he met and talked with the president of the University.
Krissy is a freshman at Miami of Ohio University. She is a Public Health and Analytics major. This fall she also applied for and got a job at the Starbucks near her dorm, so in addition to her studies in health and statistics she is learning business and earning spending money. Her side income will help her rush a sorority this Spring. Krissy is a passionate learner and is sought for her excellent note taking ability and subsequent high grades. She anticipates being named to the Dean's List for the fall semester.
Bob's older daughter, Tara, is a 2018 graduate from the University at Buffalo. She works in Supply Chain for ConnectLife and is engaged to Tom Rush, a third year medical student. Tara's company approved her FMLA leave and she was home taking care of Bob during the time he passed away.
I have loving help from my family (4 sisters and 1 brother and my mom, who is 92) and Bob's family (3 sisters and his mom). Bob and I bought a house in Croton in 1995 and through the years we made many friends. These friends and family carried me through the very difficult first months after Bob's death. I don't know how I would have made it without all of you on this page as well. I will never forget your help so please let me know how you are doing, my email is [email redacted].
I will end this chapter of mourning soon, so please reach out to me with your email in return so we can still touch base after the GoFundMe is closed. My children know that Bob's friends cared very much about him and wanted to help ensure they stayed in their respective Universities, so please know his children are very appreciative and will continue to earn high grades and strive for a future where their Dad would be proud.

Bob McHugh, loving husband of Patricia (Patty), and father of Tara, Kyle, and Kristen, passed away on October 17, 2019 at the age of 56. Bob and Patty were married for 25 years and lived with their children in Croton, New York.
Bob was a loyal employee of the banking entities of Mitsubishi UFJ and the Bank of Tokyo for over 30 years. He was a well-respected veteran in the Securities Finance Market with more than 3 decades of service. He forged many solid friendships throughout the market where he was loved and esteemed as a remarkably brilliant, yet quiet and humble gentleman.
Even though he had to endure the daily grind of the banking world, Bob was a caring and dedicated family man above all. An incredible husband and life-partner to Patty, Bob was a “hands-on” father who never yelled or got angry; was extremely patient, and did everything he could to provide for his wife and kids. Bob was very proud of his children, two of whom were just beginning their college careers at the time of his passing.
Perhaps the best way to honor Bob and his memory is to take a little time to serve his precious family through this tragedy. Whether its prayers, phone calls, emotional sustenance, sending caring notes or messages over the next few weeks/months, the family will truly appreciate your care and support.
