On August 9th while up in the mountains with his Son and and Grandson for a fun little weekend together a tragedy occurred.
Roberts son Bobby rented his dad a slingshot to go out and enjoy some time on the beautiful mountain roads that we have gone to ride for decades now. Just a few short hours into their ride, deals gap, his dad lost control of the Slingshot, went off the road and died as a result of the injuries.
This is a family very close to mine. He was like a second dad to me and getting the text message that day that simply said "My Daddy died today" it took the wind out of me. I couldn't believe it. They were just talking about how much fun they were having for it to all come to an end so suddenly and unexpectedly.
We are helping to raise funds to have the body cremated, shipped back to their home in Florida, attorney fees, memorial & other expenses to get them through this time of need. As they did not have any contingency for such a thing. The expense involved in having this all done and getting the remains home to the family is a big challenge we are trying to help them overcome.
The funds raised here will all be donated to the family to cover these expenses, all of which are still unknown.
