Robert Molek Sr. Funeral and services

Robert Molek Sr. age 62, passed away peacefully on February 7th, 2023 with his surviving children by his side ( Robert, Rebecca and Stephanie. While we were able to cover the expenses of his medical care, we are having a difficult time coming up with the funds for his funeral and services. He will be transported from Colorado Springs to Cleveland, Ohio. His services will be held at Slone & company funeral home, March 3rd at 10am. We want to give him the goodbye he deserves. We want to thank everyone for all the kind words and support you have shown throughout his battle. It means more to us than words can say.

Robert was born July 17th 1960 to Bernard and Clara Molek. After high school he joined the marines as a basic mechanic. He loved his time in the service as he talk about it often. He was very proud of his time in the service. After being honorably discharged he joined the Cleveland Police dept. February 24th, 1986. His career as an officer was remarkable. He obtained numerous awards for his courageous acts on and off duty. In the late 90's Robert suffered a traumatic brain injury from being struck by a drunk driver while on his motorcycle. He beat all odds and survived. He retired from the CPD there after. After retirement started he focused all his energy on his children and grandchildren. Robert had many hobbies and was quite the artist. He enjoyed tattooing, drawing, airbrushing, mechanical work, his Harley Davidson, gold panning (yes, he struck gold), camping with family and so many others. There wasn't a time he was needed and not there for his children. This man was remarkable, he did not let anything break him or his spirit. He fought a tough fight and overcame what many could not. He broke odds in many aspects of life. He was and will always be our hero!
