Hi my name is Marisol Rincon. I'm raising funds for my brother, Robert Rincon.
Many of you remember Robert as the fun and outgoing thespian from high school. Around five years ago, Robert was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). He first received a preliminary diagnosis from his local neurosurgeon after falling and having trouble balancing himself. In the six short months while he waited for an official diagnosis from a specialist at USC, he became wheelchair-bound. He vowed to never give up, however.
Robert kept his promise and fought hard for five years. I cared for him day and night as his entire body became slowly paralyzed. A few months ago, Robert's ALS took a turn for the worse and had to transition into specialized care.
Unfortunately, Robert is nearing the end of his journey here on Earth. He's currently in ICU and will be shortly placed in hospice care. We're asking for your help to raise funds so we can begin planning for Robert's funeral services.
I sincerely appreciate all your support and prayers throughout the years. It's been an extremely challenging road for me and Jonathan as we cared for Robert 24 hours a day. I'd do it again without question, however.
Once again, thank you for your love, prayers, and support.
Stay tuned for this page for updates on Robert's condition.
With much love,
-Mari
