We have lost one of the nicest, friendliest, most gentle, playful, kind souls that walked this earth. Life has taken Robert too early as he was only 48 years old. He was always the first one to step forward to help others and never complained about anything. He was always happy & always had a smile on his face. Robert truly was a beautiful angel in our world. He was absolutely the most wonderful father & husband to Tanya and their two boys - a true gem that will be missed tremendously.
We don’t yet know the true cause of death. They won’t know for 12 weeks until toxicology is complete. The only details we know are that he was working on a job far out in wine country with no one around, an empty house (new owners moving in the next morning), and when he didn’t come home or respond to texts, calls, etc, Tanya had to trace back through phone calls on their mobile carrier's website & search emails to find who hired him and where he was. She finally found, and was able to reach the couple that contracted him. The couple picked her up very late Thursday night and took her out to their house. That’s where she found him, next to his van, door open, ready to come home to his family. It looked like he may have had a heart attack or stroke.
He is leaving behind a wife of 18 years and two young teenage boys that looked up to him and loved him dearly. Robert was Tanya’s best friend. As you can imagine, the family is completely devastated. Unfortunately, his life insurance policy had lapsed so there aren’t any funds to take care of the family’s expenses.
Tanya wanted me to add that she will be looking for a job w/stable income and will be reaching out to you all for networking. She has worked from home as a web designer/developer ever since her first child was born 16 yrs ago & before her first born she was a web developer for many years in a corporate environment. Robert was the family’s main source of income.
Your generosity will go a long way to helping the family out. No amount is too small. I feel that helping the family fund through this difficult time would be more appreciated/helpful than flowers. Thank you so much during this very painful time.
