Robert Stride memorial fund
Donation protected
My name is Travis Caffelle. I am setting up this go fund me page to help in funeral expenses for my Uncle Rob Stride who was one of the most hardworking, generous, easy going and fun individuals I have ever known. He was often the life of the party and could bring a smile to your face through great conversation and just being around him. On Christmas day, Rob was home with his wife and experienced a pain in the back of his head. Within 10 minutes he was seizing and became unconscious. He was med flighted to Boston Medical Center where the incredible doctors there did everything they could to bring him back to us, but they were not able. We would come to find out that he suffered from a brain bleed that left him with no brain activity.
One of the things we know Rob would have wanted most in his life is to help others through this tragedy and the decision was made to donate his organs to those in need of life changing gift of organ donation. Our family has found some peace in knowing that there have been over a 100 lives forever changed because of his death and organ and tissue donations. To honor him the way he deserves to be honored and because of the unexpected nature of his passing, I am humbly asking those people who knew and loved Rob to make any donation towards his funeral expenses and medical bills. Rob had a whole life to live and therefore his affairs were not in order. He was a life long resident of Bridgewater and a familiar face at Emma's Pub and Pizza which is where he instilled in me his work ethic and love of cooking.
