Robert Stride memorial fund

Donation protected
My name is Travis Caffelle. I am setting up this go fund me page to help in funeral expenses for my Uncle Rob Stride who was one of the most hardworking, generous, easy going and fun individuals I have ever known. He was often the life of the party and could bring a smile to your face through great conversation and just being around him. On Christmas day, Rob was home with his wife and experienced a pain in the back of his head. Within 10 minutes he was seizing and became unconscious. He was med flighted to Boston Medical Center where the incredible doctors there did everything they could to bring him back to us, but they were not able. We would come to find out that he suffered from a brain bleed that left him with no brain activity.

One of the things we know Rob would have wanted most in his life is to help others through this tragedy and the decision was made to donate his organs to those in need of life changing gift of organ donation. Our family has found some peace in knowing that there have been over a 100  lives forever changed because of his death and organ and tissue donations. To honor him the way he deserves to be honored and because of the unexpected nature of his passing, I am humbly asking those people who knew and loved Rob to make any donation towards his funeral expenses and medical bills. Rob had a whole life to live and therefore his affairs were not in order. He was a life long resident of Bridgewater and a familiar face at Emma's Pub and Pizza which is where he instilled in me his work ethic and love of cooking.

Below is the obituary and All the information about funeral services

Robert Harlow Stride, age 50, lifelong resident of Bridgewater and longtime cook at Emma’s Pizza died peacefully but unexpectedly from an unpredicted health issue on Dec. 27, 2021. Robbie was the loving son of the late Robert and Betty (Harlow) Stride. He was a graduate of BR Class of 1989 and earned his associates degree from Massasoit College with a love for art. Robbie loved cooking and was well known in the local restaurant circles. He started his lengthy career at 99 in Easton and Charlie Horse in West Bridgewater, he spent the last 20 plus years as the head chef at Emma’s in Bridgewater. His love of cooking and dedication to the restaurant made him a great co worker and friend to many of the staff and patrons. He always loved “flipping cows” especially when they were slammed but despite his exhaustion and long hours he never lost his flair for serving the public. Robbie met Laura Cossaboom in 2004 and the two started a long loving relationship. They loved playing pool and spending time on the Cape Cod and Plymouth beaches. As well as spending summers in Wellfleet with family and loved ones. He also enjoyed trips to New Hampshire and time outdoors. Robbie loved music and watching New England sports. He was an avid fisherman and skier. A lot of time was also spent playing video games and building Lego’s. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and co-workers. Rob was the loving husband of Laura L. Cossaboom and devoted father of Jenna L. Keiley both of Bridgewater. Loving brother of Nancy L. (Stride) Mahony of West Bridgewater and Debbie L. (Stride) Rosenfield of West Bridgewater. Proud “Uncle Rob” of Kalmen, Tyler, Kendrha, Travis, Kohl, and Kassidy. All are cordially invited to the Chapman Funeral and Cremations, 98 Bedford St., Bridgewater (Prophett Chapel) on Tuesday Jan. 4.
