Robert Stringfield's funeral

Robert was an amazing dad, grandfather, and anything he needed to be. Robert raised 3 of his own kids and when he needed he stepped up and took his three grandchildren and raised them. His oldest adopted daughter Kim, passed away last year and even at 79 there was no doubt he made sure her kids were taken care of. He was married to his wife Dee for what would have been 58 years the 20th of next month. They met right after he got out of the navy, and within 6 months they were married. Dee was best friends with Robert's little sister Carol, and swears up and down that she didn't know he existed. Dee was working at a bakery down the road from Robert's family home and had decided to bring Robert's mom a cake she made from the bakery and when she got there she met Robert for the first time. Their love story is something like a book, girl falls for her best friend's older brother. Robert served in the navy and traveled the world while he sailed on the U.S. Lexington an aircraft carrier, which if you were talking to him he would make sure to tell you all about how it's now a museum. In his active years he enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding 4 wheelers, working on cars, and so much more it was never a boring time. He also really enjoyed going to cassinos whenever he was bored and wanted something to do he'd make a trip down to spirit mountain. Robert always put others before himself and gave back whenever he could. Anything given will be given to his wife Dee for final expenses and to help transition to life without him.
