Native Athlete Robert Iron Shell
Donation protected
I'am asking for people to help raise money for expenses for my Son Robert Iron Shell, a Rosebud Sioux tribal member. Robert is a gifted athlete and an earned scholar at Briar Cliff University where he is a Junior majoring in Physical Therapy. Robert has been running track and excelling greatly at it since the 8th grade, he proudly represents our Sicangu people and Native athletes everywhere! I'am asking for help for 3 reasons. #1 is to help with expenses for him and also for a few family members to travel to Johnson City, Tennessee next week for NAIA indoor track nationals, Robert is,qualified in the 200, 400 , and 4x4. We need to be there to support him as he attempts to bring home the championship, he is currently ranked 3rd in the nation! #2 is for expenses to outdoor NAIA Nationals in Gulf Shores, Alabama in May, I'm 100% certain he will qualify for this as well. #3 is for a once in a lifetime opportunity for my son to travel to Europe in May with a few students and his history professor for a two week course. This is a multicultural course and with my Son Robert being Native American, this is an excellent opportunity and it would be a shame for him to miss this opportunity to gain this knowledge, the cost of this is $5000 which includes everything . Robert is an extremely disciplined athlete and student, we are very proud of him as he gives our Native youth something to look forward to and strive toward. With the extremely high rates of suicide among Native youths we want to give those that need something to grab onto some hope, that yes they can make it this far too!! Anything that you can help with is appreciated, whether it be a share on your page everyday to reach as many people as we can to $10 gift, we appreciate it. If we had 100 people donate 75$ or 50 people donate 150$ we would reach our goal. Please help and support this gifted young man to continue to move toward his dreams!
