Robert's Bench
Tax deductible
We reached our goal, but we can always go further. Any extra money over the initial amount needed will go directly to Roberts RCONA Scholarship Fund. The Scholarship Fund gives students within Roseville's boundaries an opportunity to receive money from RCONA to go to College. Providing them with the extra money they may need for books, a computer, or classes. Once again, thank you all for your generous donations. Seeing the community come together is exactly what Robert is all about.
Original Text:
Neighborhoods make a city. Roseville is made great, due to its community involvement within these neighborhoods, and the people that step up to get the job done. Robert Sanchez is one of those people that believed in making neighborhoods great by volunteering and being actively involved in his city. Robert was Treasurer for the Roseville Coalition of Neighborhood Associations (RCONA) and helped to create a scholarship fund within the organization to provide to students in Roseville. He has lived in Roseville for over 23 years, served on the city's Charter Commission, and helped overall to put on events in and around the city. Over the last year Robert's health has declined as his cancer returned. Robert had so much more he wanted to give to the world, but his time has come much sooner than anticipated. Even so, he has created a legacy that will last forever. RCONA wants to make sure that forever is as long as possible, by memorializing that legacy. RCONA is looking to have a bench made and placed in Misty Wood Park in his Pleasant Grove Neighborhood. We hope to have this done soon, as we want Robert to be able to see how much of an impact he has left. Please help us in achieving our goal, and know that if we surpass our goal, the additional funds are going directly towards the scholarship fund that Robert created, to provide better opportunities for all of our children and to make Roseville continually better.
