Rebuilding After Hurricane Barry
My family and I were in our home in Jeanerette, La during Hurricane Barry. A tree fell into our bedroom and pinned me. I couldn't move and could barely breathe. As my husband, Robert, tried to left the tree, a thousands of bees attacked, stinging him all over his body, inside and out. The tree was too heavy but he never left me. He kept working to free me, being stung over and over again. I was barely breathing when he was able to lift the tree just enough that I could roll over and breathe. We were rushed to the hospital. Robert had more than two thousand bees attack him. When he was going into surgery, bees were still alive in his body. He survived and is now recovering but has an infection that will need constant medical attention for the coming weeks or even months. I am ok; my bee stings, cuts, bruises are healing. We lost our home and everything in it. We are now trying to put this past us and move forward for our three children. We are grateful for any dollar you can donate to our family. If you can't donate, we ask that you continue to pray for us because we know God was with us during the storm, is the reason we survived and will be by our side as we recover. We thank you, from the bottom of our hearts for helping us. You have no idea how much your kindness means.
