We are overwhelmed with gratitude by the donations we have received thus far. Everything raised over our initial goal will be applied to additional expenses, including, the scattering of Rob's ashes, final medical expenses, etc.
On Tuesday, June 21, our beautiful friend Rob died peacefully in his sleep at Bridgeport Hospital due to complications from pulmonary fibrosis. Rob was a gifted hair stylist and devoted husband to local performer Lance Gray. They were about to celebrate their sixth wedding anniversary and eleven years as a couple. When Rob was admitted to the hospital just three weeks ago with pneumonia, no one could have predicted that we would be having to say goodbye to him at his memorial service on Friday.
Due to the unexpected nature of this loss, and due to the overwhelming response of the local theatre community asking how they can help, we have set up this page to help raise funds to pay for Rob's service. These funds will pay for all of the services associated with the cremation and the funeral, and help to relieve some stress for a beloved and wonderful man who is grieving his husband. Thank you for your donation and for all of the love and support that you have shown to Lance and Rob over the last few weeks. It has truly meant the world to them.
