A very special person in so many of our lives was recently diagnosed this week with small cell carcinoma. Robin Hurst was born and raised in Pittsburgh, but has been living in Scotland for the past years 6 yrs with her wonderful husband Sandy. Robbie had started feeling ill back in March not thinking much of it at first. As her symptoms began to worsen over some time more and more she reached out to the doctors asking for testing/scans. The Drs. did not take this serious at all. They were not even going to give her a scan for another 8 weeks. At this point Robin's symptoms were so bad that she paid out of pocket to see a private Dr to try getting some answers. Only then did they start to take her serious and then was admitted in to the hospital last week. Since then they have found many masses through out her body. The cancer has spread very aggressively throughout her body and bones. She was given just weeks to live. This beautiful, smart, loving young womens life has been turned upside down in a matter of a week and all she wants to be able to do is to fly home to Pittsburgh with her husband to be with her family and friends. She also will be getting a second opinion here in Pittsburgh. In order to do this they must get a private jet and fly out of pocket which is extremely expensive. Between the out of pocket medical costs, the out of pockets expenses for the jet you can imagine this is the last thing that her and her family want to deal with. If there is anything that you can donate even the smallest amount helps. And if you are unable to donate financial we ask that you please keep Robin in your prayers for a miracle healing.
