Robin Melody Mighty

Hi,
This is Robin's Mommy & Daddy and here's the beginning of our story.
Over the past few months, our family had endured sickness after sickness. It started with RSV, then the flu, sinus infections, a cold and lastly, what we thought was pink eye. In November of 2023, we noticed our 2 year old Robin's eye, slowly moving upward. We were were told it was the symptoms sinus infection, cold, and after weeks of failed antibiotics, we even had an appt with the ophthalmologist that said it was a weak eye muscle, which scheduled us for surgery for eye muscle repair the first week of January.
I didn't believe it due to us going from zero to 100, from healthy eye to needing surgery within a few short weeks.
Over the last weekend before diagnosis, I noticed not only was Robin's eye still moving upward, but it was draining terribly. It wasn't red, but I assumed it was pink eye. So to the Doctor we went.
While waiting in the waiting room, something told me to feel her cheek. Well, that's when I felt this solid SOMETHING in my baby girl's cheek. 2 pediatricians looked at her & sent us
straight to Macon to the children's hospital where our Robin underwent a CT scan that showed a golf ball sized mass in her mouth.
From there, we were sent straight to Atlanta Children's Healthcare for her biopsy & MRI that gave us our toddler's official diagnosis.
Robin Melody was diagnosed with Stage 2 Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare soft tissue cancer. We were not prepared for these results & due to our family just beginning, are not financially prepared.
Any & all donated funds will be used for food, transportation, bills & necessities as I have dropped down to working part time to take care of Robin & her 7 month old baby sister, Raven, since they no longer can go to daycare due to Robin's health.
We need all the help we can get and are so appreciative for all the love, support and encouraging messages we have received over the last few weeks.
Robin has already begun her chemo & will continue to have weekly sessions until October & will undergo Radiation where we will be living in Atlanta for 6 weeks while she receives radiation 5 days a week for 6 weeks straight.
This diagnosis really has challenged us as a family. We are heartbroken & devastated but trying to stay strong for eachother & most importantly Robin as she doesn't understand what's going on. No matter what, we are coming out strong, but not as strong as our Robin Melody. She is the highlight of our life, the life of the party, the best big sister and daughter. Through all the sickness she's been dealing with, she continues to keep her beautiful smile and happy spirit. She is stronger than she'll ever know. She is #RobinMelodyMIGHTY
