I'm Rob McCutcheon and I'm a high school senior who will soon attend Barrett, the Honor's college at Arizona State University. I've had a long-time passion for government, politics and the history of America.
I was recently elected an alternate Delegate-at-Large to the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio. I'm the 8th alternate of 28 total, and may move up slightly depending on the number who are able to make it. I am raising money to help offset the costs of the airfare/hotel.
For me, this is more than about simply supporting a particular candidate. This is about having the opportunity to participate in an incredible political process -- and documenting it so that my experience can be shared with other young people who have an interest in politics. As the youngest Arizonan elected to a delegate position (by several years), I have a unique perspective to offer and look forward to taking full advantage of what this trip has to offer.
Being a high school senior who is preparing for college, my personal funds are obviously limited. I plan on contributing as much as I can, but that will only get me so far. As such, I would graciously appreciate any support that you can offer in getting me to Cleveland! The opportunity is a dream come true for me, and I can't wait to share the stories with others.
