Hello, my name is Robert Walker and I am the owner and founder of Rob Walks™️ Cooks.
Since 2012, I had the dream of creating a creative food experience. My dream was to make food with special flavors and give it to the people. For years, i wondered how I would do it but working full-time didn’t allow me to fully flesh out my idea because of time. 2020 changed a lot of that.
With the coronavirus pandemic and the Black Lives Matter protests this year, I had both a motivation and a purpose to create the experience I set out to create in 2012. I now had the time to sit and map out how I wanted to make food and give it to people.
In June 2020, I put out the menu for the first Rob Walks Cooks experience. The menu hosted a variety of wings and empanadas and the maximum amount of inquires were filled within in 6 hours. I prepared the food to be delivered or picked up that following weekend and customers loved it. This was the was beginning of my new venture for Rob Walks Cook.
The support came from my people and with this business I want to be able to give back by giving Black people new opportunities and good comfort food where they live. I want to create a space where Black people can feel appreciated and loved, whether if comes from being an employee or customer.
The support would absolutely mean everything to me and I would be eternally grateful for all of the help. The donations would help get the business up and running and with money being made from operations would support giving back to the community like giving food to the homeless and giving donations to other Black businesses so that they will be able to get on their feet as well. I want to use this as a opportunity to work across and help out in multiple black communities. Thank you so much & God bless you.
