Robyn Atienza Danh's Memorial Fund

Our names are Karyzza Atienza and Ricky Danh. It is with a heavy heart that we write this story. We are the parents of Robyn Atienza Danh, a beautiful 22-month-old angel who left this world too soon. On Christmas Eve 2022, Robyn was diagnosed with leukemia. During a blood transfusion, she unexpectedly went into cardiac arrest and was deprived of oxygen to her brain for over 15 minutes. The combination of her severe brain injury, leukemia, and her young age proved to be too much for her young heart to bear. Sadly, Robyn left us on January 27, 2023.

But that is not what we want you to know about our little Robyn, or how we want people to remember or know her. She was so much more than the just the last few weeks of her life.

Our sweet Robyn was born on March 30, 2021. She was the precious first grandchild of my family. Other than Ricky and me, my parents were the happiest people on earth when Robyn was born. They were excited to finally be grandparents.

As a newborn, Robyn was an energetic and sassy girl who was not afraid to tell you what she did or did not want. She always seemed to be in a rush to get places or grow up. We sometimes joked that she never really learned how to crawl, she instead learned how to run on all fours. As she got bigger, she loved playing with water, enjoyed bath time, and tried to jump into any kind of water whenever she got the chance. She was a very happy little girl who lit up whatever room she crawled into. Although she was still learning to talk and comprehend the world around her, she was quick to learn who her favorite people were and didn't hesitate to yell for them. Our little Robyn was friendly with everyone around her and made friends wherever she went. But if she was not in the mood to play or if she was not pleased, she was quick to tell you, "NO." That quickly became her favorite word.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandparents and getting spoiled. She enjoyed spending time with her aunts and uncles who would play with her all day and night. She enjoyed spending quality time with her cousins and playing with the dogs, Lyanna, Bort, and Sophie. Even though she didn't get to experience everything, she enjoyed every minute with a family that loves her unconditionally. She was the princess of our family.

This last month has been extremely difficult for Ricky and me. But we are comforted in knowing that Robyn is now our guardian angel and she is in the loving embrace of God. She was simply too beautiful to stay on this earth.

As you can imagine, everything happened unexpectedly and left us unprepared both emotionally and financially. Ricky and I have not been able to work since Robyn was hospitalized and we continue to be on leave from work. We are still planning Robyn's memorial and cremation. Ricky and I are not by any means lacking in emotional support, but we are hoping and asking for the generosity of our family, friends, and even strangers to help us with our financial shortcomings. Any donation or support that you can offer is greatly appreciated by us and our family.

Please keep Robyn and our family in your prayers. Thank you in advance for any support you can offer our family.
