Robyn Burke Needs a Knee

My name is Darlene, Robyn is a good friend of mine who deserves a hand, or Knee in this case.

Robyn was born in Sydney NS with bilateral hip displacement and dysplasia. She received a hip replacement at the age of 24 and then the other hip at the age of 35. The issues with her hips had led to her having knee issues. Her knee has been dislocating since she was 10 years old. With the consistent dislocation she has done damage to her ligaments.

Robyn has to travel to Halifax for surgery on her knee to repair the ligaments and the joint itself. Along with travel she requires assistance for needed items after surgery including a cold therapy unit,(crutches donated by me) a hinged knee brace. While in Halifax she needs accommodations, food, and a rental car to travel. Robyn will be off work for 10-12 weeks

Robyn is a hard-working mom to an 11 year old son. Due to the recent storms she has missed 3 shifts at work, that coupled with the rising cost of living has made this needed procedure a burden on her and her family.
