Robyn Goodwin memorial fund

On October 14, 2020 Heaven received another angel.  My brother in law, Robyn Goodwin died of a heart attack & kidney failure.
He, along with several family members suffered from Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD).  He was on kidney dialysis for several years, then receiving the gift of life!  He received a transplant kidney.  Everything had gone so well.  His body was not rejecting the new organ as so many do.  He did very well for the next several years.  He was very active in his church, New Life Church in Renton.  He loved playing in the band.  He loved music!   His brother Kelly & I always tried to help him whenever possible.  He lived with us for 20 years.  We helped each other over the years, regardless of the situation, we took care of one-another.   We were family.  That's what families do...take care of one another.
In May, 2017 Kelly & I moved to Roy with our son Robert and his wife & family.  Robyn declined to move with us.  His reason:  It was too far from his church.  However, about a year later, unknown to any of us, Robyn found himself homeless, living in his pickup truck; everything he owned locked up in a storage unit.  For the past two + years, every time we invited him for family gatherings, birthdays, holidays, etc., he always declined.  He told us he was staying with a couple of friends from his church; that he was fine.  He would tell us he didn't need any help.  Every time we talked, we would offer him money, food, a roof over his head...but his response was always the same.  I'm fine!  Robyn was a solitary man.  Never asking for anything.  This was how he lived his life.  He NEVER missed church!  Except when he was hospitalized as a result of the PKD.
Kelly & I have been in shock for the past week.  Faced with the difficult task of putting a loved one to rest.  Making all of the arrangements, contacting family & friends, along with everything else.  It has been a bit overwhelming and costly!!  Unfortunately, the costs are still mounting and we are in dire need of any help from family & friends during this difficult time.  He had nothing except his broken down pickup and a small storage unit for his personal items.  We are having him cremated.  We wish that we could do more for him.  He deserves so much more, but we are working with limited funds and because of COVID, we are not working at this time.  ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!  We know this has been a difficult year for so many, but we have nowhere else to turn.
We would like to thank Pastor John at New Life Church for reaching out to us during this difficult time.  We hope to put together a memorial for Robyn in the near future.  We will keep everyone posted.  REST IN PEACE ROBYN!!
Thank you for your time & support.
