EMERGENCY- Home & Heart. Rocci & Synjins Page.

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Rocci.

I should have made a GoFundMe page a while ago, but I did not want to have to ask people to help. However, a friend of mine told me that I needed to let my pride go and create a GoFundMe page.
Now my son and I are in dire need of help.

Why am I reaching out to the world is because my home is full of mold and my son is having heart issues and I am getting very ill also.

What happened is my home of 28 years was flooded out (I will explain later) and is continually being flooded by a building behind my home. My home is full of various types of mold, and my son and I are getting very ill. Also, my son is allergic to mold.

My son, Synjin, was a Make-A-Wish child because he already has a rare heart condition and now it is getting worse.
I am creating this GoFundMe page because I am really scared and we have to get out of this home and we are stuck due to finances.
I am a single parent and do not have the funds to just tear down my home or find a new place to call home.
I cannot even find a rental unit that is within my budget.
The only thing I can think of is doing this GoFundMe page, having my home torn down, and bringing in tiny homes or even getting a shed and living in the shed. I dont know!
Now, it is winter here, and because of all the mold, we cannot turn on the furnace due to mold spores, and we have to sleep with the windows open so we can breathe.
My son is now having Afib episodes; we are always exhausted, we cannot sleep, and I am having chest pains and anxiety attacks, plus other symptoms.
I have been trying to get us out or demolish the home for well over a year now, but the cost is over and beyond what I have, and I was told that the house is a teardown. I have been trying to deal with this for years, and I have done everything in my power to stop the flooding, but we are stuck and trapped due to our financials.
Our health is declining, and we need help fast.

I know everyone is in really tough times; however, we would really appreciate any assistance. I do not like asking for assistance, but I have to.

I would like to give everyone a home organizer book that I developed years ago however I dont know how to get it out to everyone. The only way I can think of is people going to living simply rich website and putting your email into the system. GoFundMe will not allow me to put in an email address to contact me. That is the best I can do to say thank you and give you something for your donation.
This is my way to say thank you for helping us.

Below is a history of our situation prior to the flood of my home. This will give you a better understanding of our dire need for help.

I am Rocci and I am a single mother of two adult children and a grandmother of six, plus a bonus grandmother of many more.

At this moment, my son and I are living in a home that is full of mold. We do not have the means to move, and I have exhausted all resources and reached out to every organization that is imaginable.
We cannot get any assistance because our home needs to be torn down.
We have lived in this home for 28 years, and now it is destroyed due to runoff from new construction.
In addition to this, we are getting ill; however, my main concern is my son, Synjin.
My son has a rare heart condition and is medically fragile.
At the age of 9 months, he had a lymph node removed due to a staph infection.
At the age of around 11 months, my son, Synjin, passed out when I was playing with him.
I rushed him down to the hospital. I was not satisfied with the reason the doctor gave me for his passing out, so I demanded that he be sent to the children’s hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
You see, when I was pregnant with my son, I was having nightmares in regards to his heart, and I knew that the doctor telling me that he had esophageal reflux was not the answer.
At the Children’s hospital, they found a hole in his heart.
On a Friday, they were going to sew up the hole and send us on our way. By the grace of God, the doctors were too busy and had to reschedule the surgery until the next Monday. I asked the doctor for my son to be put on a heart monitor, and thank God I did. That weekend, my son was in his high chair, and he passed out again.
After that episode, the doctor discovered that Synjin had not just a hole in his heart but also a 3rd-degree heart block. This is when his first pacemaker was placed. He was so small that the doctors had to place the pacemaker in his stomach. I knew that this was it because God told me in my dreams.
We went home, and two months later he had endocarditis. Synjin had to wear a tiny backpack that pumped medicine directly into his heart. During this time, the doctors discovered that he was immune-compromised and allergic to all antibiotics, with the exception of vancomycin. So, I could not go out in public with my son and had to sterilize my house every day. This was hard for my daughter, Sam, who could not have friends over and would have to shower right after she got off the school bus.
However, we did have multiple doctors, nurses, and therapists who had to come into the home to give Synjin treatments and therapy.
Finally, at the age of 5, I decided that Synjin needed to socialize, so I sent him off to kindergarten. That was a mistake because one fall day I went to pick him up from our little, small-town school. I was walking into the school, and as I was walking in, Synjin was turning the corner in the hall. I took one look at him, and I knew something was wrong. To the teacher and others at the school, Synjin was fine all day, but I knew. I immediately drove home, made arrangements for my daughter, grabbed the hospital bags that I always had at the door, and headed down to the hospital. Synjin was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis, and he and I were in isolation for it seemed like a month. Synjin is a fighter, and we made it out of this scare.
During all of this, Synin has had multiple heart appointments that were out of town. I remember one heart appointment where I only had a jar of change to my name, and that went for gas for my car and one meal for Synjin. I remember driving home and praying to God that we would not run out of gas. Well, God answered my prayers because I was driving home to Duluth from Minneapolis, and as I was pulling into the driveway, my car ran out of gas.
We always had multiple visits to the Children’s Heart Clinic in Minneapolis, but one visit I remember vividly driving home from the appointment in my 1989 SAAB and crying the whole way home. I was so thankful that Synjin was sleeping because I did not want him to see me so upset. You see, the doctors diagnosed Synjin with left ventricle non-compaction cardiomyopathy. Since this diagnosis, Synjin has had 3 pacemakers and 2 defibs placed.
Also, I was in law enforcement, and I was driving to my post with Synjin in the car because his PCA was going to meet me at my post; however, that did not happen because a lady was texting while driving, crossed the center line, hit us head on, and t-boned us. My face, knees, and spine were damaged. Synjin broke his neck in two places; his ankle and his knees were also damaged.
No, it does not stop at one accident. Synjin was in a rollover, side by side.
Also, one late night, Synjin went outside in the driveway to do something, I have no idea; he walked in between his Chevy truck and my SUV. Both vehicles were parked and turned off. Synjin proceeded to walk in between both vehicles and one popped out of gear, rolled, and crushed him in between the 2 vehicles.
Synjin was rushed to the hospital and underwent surgery on his wrist; this is when pins were placed in his wrist and hand.

I hope that with all of the history that I just shared with you, you can understand why we need help immediately.
I hope you can find it in your heart to donate something, anything.
Thank you,
Rocci

P.S. Funds will be used for a tiny home to place on our property.
Thank you.
