Leading Emerald Downs rider Rocco Bowen's homeland is the island of Barbados located in the far south of the Caribbean Island chain. Bowen still has family on Barbados and they were lucky that super Hurricane Irma went North and they were safe with no damage.
Bowen is grateful for that but is saddened to see the utter devastation in some of his Caribbean neighbor countries caused by the series of Hurricanes.
Rocco is donating $20 per win for the last 5 live racing days at Emerald Downs and going into today’s final day he has 11 wins and so far a total of $220. Eli Sports Network is in for $10 per win and we are in for $110 so far and Rocco has 11 rides on this final Sunday.
We encourage you to jump on with a small donation per win or a flat donation going towards Rocco's Win Challenge! Thank you for your support of people who truly are in need of a helping hand. All funds will be donated to the Red Cross Hurricane Relief Fund.
