Rochester Helps Stacy
Donation protected
If you live in Rochester, you probably know Stacy Zicari. If not, you probably know someone who does. It’s hard to find someone around here she doesn’t know and whose life she hasn’t made a positive impact on.
Last week, Stacy went to the doctor for a routine colonoscopy. During the procedure, they found and removed a large polyp. After doing some tests, the results came back. The result was not good. What they found was a type of cancer, called an adenocarcinoma.
The plan is for her to have part of her colon removed as well as lymph node to check to see if the cancer has spread. If they can get all of the cancerous cells out with surgery and it hasn’t spread anywhere else in her body, she won’t have to get chemotherapy or radiation. If they can’t get it all, or if they find it in other parts of her body, well…then she will have a long road of treatment and recovery ahead of her.
Either way she’s going to be out of work for several months and have medical bills, along with all of her other regular bills, to pay. Finding out in your 40s that you have cancer is devastating enough, but to make matters worse she is a single parent of a teenage boy who has special needs. She’s the sole provider in her household. Being out of work means having no income.
We all know what it is like to go through hard times financially. As a result, this Go Fund Me was to help raise money to pay for her treatment and manage her finances. Anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated. Even the smallest donation can make an impact, and every bit adds up. Stacy is genuinely one of the most beautiful souls out there, and those who know her would say the same. Please help alleviate at least one of her burdens to allow her to focus her on her family and take the time to heal.
