Rocket Ragcoons surgery

Hi everyone,

 I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for our beloved cat, Rocket. He is a 1-year 4-month old Ragdoll/Maine Coon mix whos  incredibly playful, loving, and an affectionate part of our family who has brought so much joy into our live. Unfortunately, he recently became very sick very fast and stopped eating 1/31/2025. He can’t keep food or water down, and after an emergency visit to the Westford Emergency Clinic, I received devastating news that Rocket has a diaphragmatic hernia. A diaphragmatic hernia is a serious condition where an opening in the diaphragm allows abdominal organs like the intestines, liver, or stomach to push into the chest cavity. This can make it difficult for Rocket to breathe and digest food properly, which is why he has been struggling. In some cases, this condition can be present from birth, and go undetected for some time. Without surgery, his condition will continue to worsen, and I can’t bear to see him suffer. Rocket needs a complex surgery at Angell Medical Center in Boston, performed by a specialised  surgeon on 2/2/2025. The estimated cost is $7,000. I don’t expect this amount to be reached but, he’s having the surgery performed with out a doubt and I’ll figure out the rest later. While I am doing everything I can to cover most of these expenses I do have to seek some assistance or alternative care plan, Im afraid whatever will be available might not be enough and need to reach out for a bit more support because every little bit helps Rockets complicated situation .
