Keep Rocky Mountain Strong in Our 75th Year

For 75 years, Rocky Mountain has created an emotionally and physically safe real-world learning environment for parents and children, where each person’s experience is welcomed! This year, our community hopes to raise at least $10,000 for Month of Giving. Up to $5,000 of this goal will be matched dollar for dollar by a generous donor!

This is the largest goal we’ve set to date, because as you may know, our school community was displaced from our home at Peixotto Playground following a massive rockslide during the January 2023 storms – a heartbreaking way to enter our 75th year. We are working with the City and hope to return by September 2024.

We’ve rallied together to keep the spirit of Rocky Mountain alive and well, but not without costs. We are running programming three days a week from Randall Museum and two days a week from Coronado Playground in the Mission. In addition to staff and families needing to contribute more hours, we pay rent to Randall Museum, allowing the kids to have natural outdoor space close to our stomping ground and to enjoy our beloved community garden.
