Rodger Vodegel

With a heavy heart, our Father, Rodger Vodegel went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, July 27th. If anyone wants to help with the unexpected expenses of his passing you can donate to this gofundme page or via Zelle.

Our father went by many names, dad, daddio, papa, papasan, papa bear, ninja dad, rolo, raj, rajaaaah, and his favorite, opa. He was the fun dad/grandpa, the fun uncle, the fun brother, anything he was a part of, expect it to be fun or funny. All our family, friends (now and from childhood), coworkers, pretty much the whole city of Marysville love this man because he was fun to be around. It will be hard to imagine life without his laugh, dad jokes, stories, and the way only he could get you riled up or calm you down in one sentence. Although he was the most stubborn person I know, he always saw the good in people or the bright side of a situation, he was encouraging, and believed in you even if you didn’t believe in yourself. He was an all around solid person, loyal, hardworking, honest, joyful, with more faith and love in Jesus than anyone i know. I am confident that he has impacted us all, especially if you’ve ever shaken his hand (if you know, you know).

My siblings and I want to honor our dads life the best we can and we appreciate any help, even if it’s a kind word, special memory, or prayer. Thank you in advance as we navigate through these difficult times. We will give updates when we can about services and will adjust the goal depending on costs. Our appointment is Tuesday.

UPDATES:

• Private viewing has been scheduled for Monday 8/7, prior to cremation
• We were able to get three beautiful urns so that my siblings and I can all have a part of him
• Beautiful flowers and setup have been ordered
• We have a tentative date of services and reception, Sat Sept 9th at 3pm - needs to be confirmed
