Rodrick Harrison funeral arrangements

Hi, my grandfather Rodrick Harrison (Steve) passed away today. He didn't have life insurance and despite his other family we don't have anyone wanting to help pay. I've taken care of him the last 4 years with no help from his family. Most didn't even come around until this last time at hospital and they decided to make it where I wasn't allowed to get updates or see him. I did get 15 minutes to say goodbye thanks to Kettering police and than he passed away.

His other family called and said (hey he finally passed and they wasnt planning his funeral so she said i need to set it up)

Here I am. I'm 24 with two kids one special needs and I have maybe 1,000 saved up. We are also paying a lawyer for probate etc. Everyone fighting over everything before he was gone I just wanted to hold him and hear him yell at me again for his food not being warm enough My grandpa adopted me and he fought for our country and he always protected us and 4 years ago he got bad and I took the responsibility of being there for him and caring for him while balancing my own life. He passed away at 74 years old and I know he's no longer suffering and I pray he's already in heaven dancing with my mom and dad and brother and his mom and dad. I hope he's at peace. He was a very very good man and I wish we could of swap places. He was my best friend and the best papa to my kids. They will miss him tremendously and I pray we make sure everything goes perfectly. He wanted buried not cremated and he made that very clear and I have to honor his wishes not to cremate him even though it's more affordable he deserves the world and the best and what he wants.
