Help support Rodriguez Party of 5 after accident
Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Crystal and I am a close friend to the Rodriguez family after I had the pleasure of training Mike when he was coming to our critical care teams. I am sharing this information with the permission from his wife. For those who know Mike know that he has been serving his community as a first responder since he graduated high school in 2011 and continues to honorably serve today. Mike recently transitioned from one local fire department to another before he was involved in a motorcycle accident where he was declared a trauma alert and transported to the local trauma center. I received notification from his wife before he arrived at the hospital and immediately started thinking of ways to help them.
Mike and his wife Bri welcomed their baby girl over the summer, in addition to their two older boys. Needless to say with Mike having suffered this horrible accident, he won’t be able to return to duty for some time. For those that know Mike, know that he has one heck of a work ethic and absolutely adores his family. This man busts his behind for his family to make sure they have everything they need. With that being said that leaves his wife as the only one who is able to work, and she’s having to take time off tend to him and their three beautiful children. The timing to this accident could not have happened at a worse time, especially with the holidays quickly approaching. So, I am asking for donations to help ease the burden during his recovery period, as the road to recovery for him is unknown at this time.
With permission from his wife, here's an update on Michael. He's still having a difficult time doing daily tasks. He's on a few medications, one of which is to help with the seizures he was having immediately after the accident occurred and then while he was still in the hospital. Michael is still in a tremendous amount of pain. They are trying to manage the pain the best they can, and he will start undergoing physical therapy, follow ups with a neurologist, and home health will be visiting a few times a week to help. Michael isn't out of the woods yet and still has a way to go in recovery. The donations are to help cover medical and other financial expenses. I have also put together a meal train for those who are interested in assisting that way. Bri wants to thank everyone who has helped so far, whether it be by donations, or by helping share this gofundme. She is beyond grateful for the tremendous outpour of support.
Below is the link for the meal train for those who want to support in other ways.
