Rod's Journey for a Liver Transplant
Donation protected
My Father-in-law, a retired Birmingham Police Officer, Rod Howell was diagnosed with Liver Cirrhosis with Ascites in October of 2020. He is currently at a stage 4 waiting for a liver transplant. Without a transplant, Rod was given a diagnosis of 2 years or less to live. Unfortunately, this disease is fast moving and the time for a transplant has arrived. It's to soon to know when or where the transplant will take place, as he is waitlisted, but it is never to early to start preparing financially and praying for a miracle. When the time arrives for the transplant, I do not want money to delay the procedure from going forward. Rod is truly a great man and a hard worker, he spent all of his career giving back to the community he worked in, he would give anyone the shirt off his back if he had to. I would love to be able to show him how much he is appreciated and deserving of this transplant but I can't do it alone. So I am currently asking for donations to help with travel expenses, the transplant and medical bills. If you are unable to donate, we will gladly accept any prayers. Thank you!!
