ROGER LIVINGSTON'S GO FUND ME
Donation protected
Kristian and Joe would like to give you a little background on our dad, our HERO.
His nature is one of giving and caring for others, spending time with grandchildren, friends and fishing.
He loves this country, in the seventies when his country needed men to serve in the military, he left his home and joined the Army.
He loves his family. In 2003 when his dad passed away, he took over the responsibility of mowing his mom's approximately 10 acres of land around the house with a zero-turn lawn mower (the culprit of Roger's later misfortune). On June 26, 2019 his mom passed away and then on August 1, 2019 - without any time to mourn the loss of his mom, he had his life-threatening mowing accident at her place. My dad miscalculated the clearance of an oak limb and hit his head. He fractured his C4 and C5 vertebrate and was immediately paralyzed. He had to be life flighted to Herman Memorial hospital. As you can imagine there were many life-threatening battles he had to overcome and at one point he was put in a medically induced coma. Then there were the setbacks. He was literally fighting for his life. We called him "Rocky Balboa” A True Fighter. Of course, this accident forced him to retire. So with only social security and a disability income, he has to start his "new" life as a quadriplegic, by remodeling his house to accommodate a personal lift and a powered wheelchair, and his indefinite 24/7 caregiver service, medical, and rehabilitation expenses. He has fought so hard this past year and a half and now with him going home soon, he could really use your help. Here are a few ways to help: material donations for home remodel, volunteers with specials trades and skills for this remodel, I will be setting up a GoFundMe account for the caregiver services, medical, and rehabilitation expenses. I didn’t know how much to set the goal for, so I aimed high. I’m still unaware of what all this is going to cost. If you feel you can be a help in anyway, please contact me (his daughter, Kristian) at [email redacted]. Thank you all in advance and Prayer warriors are always welcomed.
