Roger Nelson Memorial Education Fund

This memorial fund is in honor of Roger A. Nelson- husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Roger touched so many lives across the world; whether it was growing up on the East coast, serving in the Army overseas, or raising a family out west, he had a gift of humor and wit that endeared him to everyone, everywhere. His life was troubled at times, but at his core he was a loving family man and friend. It is therefore with deep sorrow that we say goodbye to him so soon.

Roger was well known for his passion for learning and education. The number of folks who knew him and didn't debate a topic with him are few. He earned multiple advanced degrees and used them to make the world a better place, particularly as a prosecuting attorney and a soldier. Given the importance he placed on education, we are establishing this memorial to help fund tuition for his three college-aged children, Jackson, Olivia and Derek.

100% of the funds raised for this memorial will be given to Erin Nelson for distribution to the children. In lieu of flowers for a ceremony, we hope you may consider contributing to the fund and ensuring that the three of them may one day debate you on a topic, much as their father had.
