Roger Powers Fight Against Cancer

I have taken it upon myself to try and raise some money for an old friend,
Roger Powers, who is battling Cancer. He has already had chemo and Radiation with some success but the doctors tested him again and found more cancer right before the Holidays. They asked him to come back right away to begin immediate treatment. He told them he was worn out and would wait until after the holidays to decide what to do. Roger was worn out in more ways than one, while battling cancer he worked two jobs and was running his lawn mowing service. His money reserves are just as exhausted as he is, the insurance deductibles run about $250.00 a visit with many, many visits! Roger is the father of three Boys, only 2 are living. Cancer has paid this family a visit in the past, ruthlessly taking Roger's 2 year old son! Yes, you read this right, he has already lost his son to this scourge. Like many of our families who have had loved ones ripped from our world, Roger has been robbed of the most precious of gifts! On New Years Day I visited with Roger at 3 am while he was at his night job at the 7 Eleven, across from Mariner High School, in Cape Coral Fl. I was heading back to North Carolina after enjoying my Grandson's 1st Birthday celebration. Before I left I wanted to see my old friend, who I played little league baseball with. Roger and I reminisced about old times and old friends, and of course we addressed the elephant in the room. He told me flat out that he thought he was probably finished because he is tired and out of money and saw no way to pay the Medical bills! I promised him if he would keep fighting that me, as well as all of his wonderful friends, and maybe some strangers would help him with this battle. Prayers are amazing but what Roger needs is help with the medical bills. I am asking and pleading for all of you to contribute, whatever you can to help Roger fight his horrible disease! 100% of the money raised will go directly to Roger Powers for Medical Bills, no one else can access the funds!
