Rogue State Games
Donation protected
Hello All,
My name is Kenny Viado. For those of you who do not know me, I have previously been in charge of hobby and gaming stores over the past six years. I have helped build and operate them both on the front end with customer interactions and event planning; and on the back end with product ordering, inventory control and general management. I have hosted, ran and judged multiple tournaments of over 30 people for many miniature games, and annual independent grand tournaments. I have a passion for gaming in all forms, from miniatures to card games to RPGs. My ode to fame is creating lasting relationships with people who visit the stores I have run, many whom I now call close friends and family.
As to why I am here; I am going to be starting up a new store in Northern New Jersey, called “Rogue State Games.” The plan is to be open and ready for people to come in and play as soon as possible. However, we need some assistance. This money will be used in addition to what we already have invested.
“Why open another gaming and hobby store when there are a few in the region?”
“Why should I donate money to your business?”
Well, it is because I have a clear-cut vision of what this store will be, and how it will evolve over time. The idea is to create a unique space made by and for the gaming community to serve their needs. This is the core focus of Rogue State Games. Though it will service people in the immediate area, I plan to develop it into a place where the whole game and hobby community feels welcome. The dream I have is to provide a place that can be considered a cornerstone of the community. One that focuses on fostering a healthy and safe environment for all people who participate in our hobby. To offer a shining example of our hobby as a whole. A second home to feel comfortable at with friends.
Throughout the years, I have truly cared for and fostered the game communities at my stores. It is something people have told me. That is why I have decided to start up my own business and run it my way. That is why I am asking you to donate anything you can to start building this new home for the gamers in the area.
“How will my donations be used?”
- Helping with initial startup operating costs.
- Remodeling costs of the new space.
- Create and purchase SWAG for the community (T-Shirts, hoodies, etc.)
- Purchase lumber and build 6’x4’ counter height tables for miniature gaming.
- Purchase and build scenery to populate gaming tables.
- Expand product lines that our community asks for.
If you donate $200.00 or more we will be giving you an exclusive founder's member T-shirt and a 3D printed challenge coin as a bonus for being so generous during this surely trying time for many people. If you plan on donating $200.00 or more please leave your shirt size as a comment with your donation. If you feel uncomfortable for whatever reason with leaving any of that information here then please email me at: [email redacted] with your donation amount, name, shirt size, and if you would like to pick it up at our store or if you would like it mailed to you. I will have a separate document for everyone who decides to donate the amount.
I want to thank you for taking the time to read this as well as consider donating to help us to create something truly unique and special. Much love and I hope to see you at the new store soon!
EDIT: We have been running into issues with leases in the past few months, but we definitely still plan on opening the store sometime this year. We at Rogue State Games appreciate not only your donations and support, but also your continued patience with us as we navigate this process. We have notr given up despite all the roadblocks and setbacks we have encountered, and we still plan on making Rogue State Games a cornerstone of the community in northern New Jersey. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. I love you all!~
