Ramadan Emergency Aid for Rohingya Refugees

This is a fundraiser to distribute Ramadan-specific food aid and necessities to vulnerable Rohingya families (single mother households and orphaned children) during the month of Ramadan. 

My name is Moe and I am a Burmese-Taiwanese immigrant in California dedicated to amplifying the voices of people from my homeland of Myanmar. In recognizing the UN's lack of sufficient aid for displaced civilians, particularly the Rohingya refugees who have been systematically targeted and forced out of their homeland by the Myanmar junta, I started this fundraiser in collaboration with NGO Rohingya Community Partners to allocate 100% of contributions to emergency aid for the month of Ramadan.

Over the past few months, RCP has initiated several impactful projects:

1. Notably, we are providing quality education to 300 Rohingya refugee children across six schools. But our ambitions don't stop there; we aim to establish more schools to ensure even more children have access to education and a brighter future.

2. In times of crisis, such as natural disasters or fires, your donations have provided vital emergency support, including warm clothes, blankets, mosquito nets, and mats for the affected families.

3. Access to clean water is a basic human right, and through our Clean Water project, we aim to build water wells to provide the Rohingya refugee community with access to clean and safe drinking water.

4. We've conducted impactful training sessions on Gender-Based Violence, Effective Communication, and Community Empowerment, empowering Rohingya youth, girls, and the community at large to develop crucial skills for their advancement.
