Dance has been my first love for almost 25 years. Recently I have been feeling undeservedly blessed because I realized that many people will go through life without every pursuing, let alone raching thier dreams; I am currently chasing my sencond. And I am asking for your help to reach it.
In my youth I spent every breath, bead of sweat, minute of every day wanting and working towards dancing proffecionaly in L.A... that was my dream. I wanted to be in front of cameras, make live audiences cheer, and share my passion by dancing for a briliant company. L.A. has given me almost ten increadible years of all those things, but all the while another passion was growing...that of sharing my love for dance with the next generation!
I realized early on in my 15 years of educating young dancers that this is something I want to dedicate my life to. I love teaching and seeing students grow. I have cultivated many loyal students and thier parents from many different studios all across the west coast. I always brought quality, passion and care to every student, and now I want to settle in and build a home for dancers around those ideas. I am now asking all those friends, students, parents, co teachers and dancers that always said I was meant to own a studio, to be part of building Rohr Studios!!!
With the increadible support, belife and partnership of my S/O Matt who is whole heartedly behind me, my family and so many others, I am now starting on the path to a second dream... owning my own studio buisness.
We are moving to a new city and our hope is to open in July of 2017. It's going to be an exciting and scary new adventure, but there are so many costs along the way, even before we set foot in a space.
Things like...
Finding a buisness manager
Having lawers look over everything!
Accountants
Licencing
Insurance
Advertising
the list goes on...and then there are things like...
Building rent or a Build out
Mirrors
Floors
Barres
etc...
I just want a healthy home for young dancers to get the best training in technique, performance and artistry that they can. I want to give my students opportunities and guidence that they wouldn't get otherwise. I want to see them thrive! And I think Rohr Studios is the way I can do it.
If you can help in any way, everything is appriciated. If you arn't in a position to donate, I ask with gratitude that you simply pass this on to someone who might.
Please be a building block no matter how big or small in Rohr Studios, invest in the hundreds of young lives that I want to be a positive part of; be a beginning piece of our home.
