Rohwer's Relief Fund
Donation protected
Judy, Heidi, Angela Rohwer and Zackery Berg are the family members that make up the Rohwer's Farm team. They have been selling at farmers' markets since 2006, starting in Cortez and moving to the Durango Farmers Market in 2009, where they have made many friends and are sincerely loved. Farming has been the family's full-time occupation since 2016.
On Saturday, May 21st, 2022, all four family members were involved in a head-on collision on their way to the Durango Farmers Market.
Judy did not survive the accident, and Heidi, Angela and Zack were all hospitalized with injuries that will prevent them from running the farm for the rest of this year.
The Durango Farmers Market is spearheading this fundraising effort as one way the community can help this family. We have set a goal of $250,000. These finances will help to meet these needs:
Replace, or "buy out," all the income the family would have otherwise earned through their farm products for this year.
Meet medical bills and travel expenses not covered by insurance.
Provide for Judy's funeral costs.
Help replace the vehicles and equipment lost in the collision.
If you are in the area, you can also donate directly to the account set up at TBK Bank. The account name is "Lynndee Beller" and "For Benefit of (FBO) the Rohwers" should be written into the memo line.
The Pleasant View Fire Department has also set up an account at the First National Bank in Cortez. Checks can be made out to the bank and "Rohwer" written in the memo line.
