Fundraiser for Roisin Francis' funeral and celebration of her life

(7 October 1997 - 8 August 2024)

Roisin was a beautiful, most dearly loved daughter, sister, friend, cousin and niece, who cared for those she loved with immense generosity and selflessness. She was always eager to support with wise advice, to create art with deep sincerity and to be the kindest person we have ever met. A wonderful artist, her art expresses tenderness, grief and wit (see here). While we are incredibly heartbroken for her passing in early August, we are so fortunate to have the brightness she leaves to remember her always.

To honour Roisin, her family and friends are asking for donations towards a celebration of all our joyful memories of her life.

This will be held in on Thursday 26 September at The Tin Tabernacle, Cambridge Road, London NW6 5BA (Doors open 11.30am for noon start).

We want to do as much of the work as possible ourselves to give Roisin the send off she deserves. This will also help keep costs down, but some are unavoidable such as funeral director’s fees, burial, venue hire, headstone, etc. Any contributions are very much appreciated by her parents, Solveig and Michael, as well as her friends.

Warmest thanks to everyone who has so generously donated. Funds received over the target will go to the Jan & Roisin Francis Legacy Fund, set up by her family originally in remembrance of Jan and now in remembrance of both siblings.
