Roland Shetler - Medical

I am Roland's favorite sister, Diann. Okay, fine...his only sister! I am asking for help for Roland and his wife Colleen with medical expenses. Roland has had diabetes for over 14 years and it has been under control until 2020 when he contracted COVID. Ever since then, Roland has been developing many different symptoms and complications that have affected his diabetes. Roland has been working with an amazing endocrinologist but as they take care of one symptom, another seems to arise. This has some caused issues with his kidney function. At the beginning of January 2023, he ended up in the emergency room needing to drain fluid from his stomach and legs. During that visit, they found out that one of his kidneys had 80% blockage and the other one wasn't functioning well either. After a few days, he was allowed to leave but returned 1.5 weeks later with all the same issues. His kidney doctor said it's time to start dialysis and get on the transplant list for a kidney and possibly pancreas.

Several months ago Roland started working for Modern Woodmen a financial advisory group. They offer insurance but Rolands won't kick in until closer to May 2023. So without the insurance, he wants to wait to be added to the transplant list. In the meantime, there will be dialysis and dr. visits and lots of bills. All money donated will pay for any medical bills that are incurred during this process.

Anyone who knows Roland knows that he would help others even if it meant he did without. I am asking that you consider doing the same for Roland.
