Rollin and Rachel's IVF Adventure

Dear friends and family,
We’ve reached a significant point in our journey of seeking children and want to update you and let you know how you can support us. For a longer and more detailed story of our journey and upcoming plans, please visit our link here!
After trying to get pregnant for 8.5 years and seeking God with this desire to have biological children and continuing to feel like God has called us to keep asking and praying, we felt led almost two years ago to pursue fertility treatment. After trying less involved fertility treatments that were unsuccessful we have felt like God has opened the door and nudged us to pursue IVF - in vitro fertilization. We found a Christian-based fertility clinic in Tennessee that aligns with our beliefs concerning the sanctity of life and feel a lot of peace working with this clinic.
IVF is expensive and our insurance does not cover fertility treatment. Over the years, we’ve accumulated healthy balances in our HSAs, although they took a hit last year due to the cost of the 4 IUIs. Based on our current plan, these are some of the costs: mini IVF ($7600); required drugs (about $2500); polyp removal ($700). Because we are working with a clinic in Tennessee, we also have significant travel costs (likely 2 separate trips, one of which will need to be for a minimum of 8 days). Some of those costs we should be able to cover through accrued credit card points/miles. Because we are obviously hoping to get pregnant through IVF, we desire to avoid completely emptying our HSAs—we want to be ready for doctor visits, ultrasounds, and ultimately a birth! There is also the possibility the initial embryo transfer could be unsuccessful, in which case we may be able to perform another embryo transfer ($3700). We have no expectation that any of our friends/family would help us with the cost of IVF, but if it would give you joy to give, we would be honored!
Thank you!!
