Starting to see light at the end of the tunnel.

Hello! We are a mixed household of friends and loved ones who have come together to survive in these tough financial times. Over the years we have helped support many struggling by providing housing on what little they have either from being on disability or struggling with homelessness. It's been our joy to help and be of service. In an extenuation of that life mission we bought a giant house in Rolling fork Mississippi for an unbeatable price in July of last year. It's many bedrooms are home to many people who could not afford to live on their own. Now unfortunately it's our time to ask for help so we can continue to help others. Our house was damaged in the Mississippi tornado. We expect to be without power for 24-45 days at the best guesses by officials. We are having to split up the household. Some of us have to stay in a hotel in order to be able to continue to work from home. The rest of us are camping in what's left of our home since we have been unable thus far to get assistance with hotel vouchers. We are a household of ten people. One hotel room for a week is going to cost over $600. To be able to put everyone in a hotel we would need three rooms.
If we need to continue camping at home we need a generator and or some portable solar panels to be able to charge wheelchairs for the three people in the household in power chairs and to periodically run the power to the hospital bed. Regardless of what we do someone will have to stay here in order to take care of the household pets. Any help you could possibly provide would be amazing. If there are any access funds beyond our needs we have local friends in dire need and we will be putting the money to good use in the town to help where we can. Please understand so many people here have it so much worse off than we do, but we would still be grateful for any help you guys could provide us.
So just to put things into perspective at how very underfunded and redicilous FEMA is right now there were 267 people who applied for assistance thus far this year.
They were approved for $1,793,615.02 in total amongst all of those claims. That's if every single claim received the exact same amount $6,718.03. That's people who lost their homes to disasters, lost their cars, lost everything. The federal government thinks that people can get their lives back together for what most families spend in monthly expenses in just a few months. Yet we have people in this town actively asking for work cleaning up this mess and they are on a waiting list behind outsiders.
Many Thanks from Sheryl and James Sturrock, Janet Maness , John Heffley, Em and Greyson Kelley, Doris Harms, Tina Miller, Miranda and Alexander Durham!

The red star is our home. The yellow lines are where our town is complete rubble. The damage extends well past those yellow lines but there is literally nothing but rubble in that yellow path.

Thank you Genny your amazing donation will go directly to keeping the boys safe at the motel.
Thank you Gwen and David Sturrock. Your donation today left me in absolute tears. Your donation will go towards the deposit to get the electrical to help fix this power system.
Locklin and Cathrine Caffey your amazing gift will go directly towards the total cost of restoring power which is our first big hurdle to getting everyone home again!
Thank you Chrissy and Rainey
We were able to find a hotel for next week for $275!!!!! Your generous assistance will keep Jay working through next week! Your help has been such a blessing!
Wynne Caffey-Knight thank you for your generosity! Your gift is going directly into the fund to restore the power at the house. When Tina our developmentally disabled autistic housemate saw your name she said she really wanted to meet Wynne because she adores Winney the Pooh. The smile that put on my face today was probably more valuable than I can begin to tell you.
Margaret Caffey thank you so much! Your donation is going directly to the fund to get our power restored. We can't begin to thank you enough.
Francine Caffey we truly appreciate your donation. It will go towards the fund to restore power.

Benjamin Caffey your assistance is also going towards our goal of getting power restored ! With power on we can finally be all in the same place.
Jamie Keener your generous gift was used to pay for a hotel room for Monday night . The gift allowed us to keep working so we can get back to helping ourselves and our dear collection of friends and family!
Negar Khojasteh your two generous gifts brought tears to my eyes today. The first one went towards a solar panel so we could keep a wheelchair charged. The second donation is going directly towards the $2000 goal to getting power restored. Thank you!
Galen Riley your generous gift was used to pay for a hotel room for Tuesday night. We were able to get our two work at home family members and two of the wheelchair family members into a hotel room and charge all three wheelchairs. Thank you!
Marguerite Hibbets your generous gift paid for Wednesday nights hotel room. I simply don't know what we would have done without your help. We have been unable to find lodging assistance.
Loch and Tina Sturrock above and beyond this donation your assistance has kept me calmer in a sheer chaotic time than I could have managed on my own! Your donation will pay for Thursday night and we are grateful for your help in this time.
Marie Lofton, James Billing, and Christina Nolan your generous assistance is going directly towards the fund to get power restored. Thank you!
Elizabeth Riggs and Hester Sturrock your donation will go directly towards keeping the boys safe in the hotel until we can get them through the CPS investigation.
Kevin, Eli, Christal, Lee, Jessica, Cassandra, Alicia your donation along with a few others went directly into buying a solar panel! It has already charged several phones so that us and our neighbors can continue to contact FEMA, the Red Cross, and of course the CDC emergency response teams! I have been asked by several to thank you personally!
Sharon your generous sacrifice supported two meals for the working Greenville hotel team! While they are a bit safer they don't have the generous volunteers in the area working so hard to keep us all fed! Thank you.
Benjamin Grussi your donation will be going towards the fund to getting that tree down and saving our roof.
Kit your donation will go directly to Tina's meds as you know her needs are extensive and of course this just made it so much worse. Your continued support of her has been something I will forever be grateful for.
To my doner who requested to remain anonymous as you requested your donation helped us locate the soft cat food for the cats. Here is hoping you can hear their healing purrs from where you are!
Another anonymous donor sent toys and cloths for the boys. The gift is beyond appreciated. We however sent it into town to a family who lost literally everything. That boys face when he saw the toy cars, puzzles and stuffed animal was such a joy. I want you to know you shown such a light into his life today.
To the anonymous private doner who called and asked about roof tarps I found the address to mail that pallet to. The rep I talked to was falling over herself with joy it's one of the most needed items in town. We expect rain Friday so hopefully by the rain after that we can protect what people have left better. You are amazing sir!
Barbara Graham thank you so much for your very generous donation! We are earmarking this towards parts for fixing the power lines that were ripped off the house. This gift gets us that much closer to having our crazy family back under one roof. I can't begin to thank you enough for that blessing!
We are beyond grateful for Jack Sturrock who managed to find us a duel fuel generator! We will be able to keep the hospital bed and Wheelchairs charged due to his kindness. Today we have more neighbors coming that need medical devices charged! So this generous gift will help at least ten families! Everyone is grateful to have this available
