Rolo & Lara need your help

Sadly Rolo the Staffy has entropion of both eyes, an incredibly painful condition that has caused her eyelids to roll inwards, therefore her eyelashes rub the surface of the eyes. We believe Rolo was born with this condition so has lived with this discomfort for some time. Rolo will need surgery to both eyes to relieve the pain discomfort, we will not allow her to suffer any longer, as she deserves to live life to the full, she joined us as a stray and was never claimed andwe have vowed to never give up on her

At only 7 months old Lara the Labrador is a big puppy who absolutely loves life. Uunfortunately she is urinary incontinent and after multiple tests and scans it has been discovered that there are abnormalities to her right kidney and ureter; they are not as they should be and obviously not working correctly. Sadly this also leads to reoccurring infections, therefore more antibiotics are required as soon as the previous course has been finished.

Nephrectomy surgery is planned for Lara soon she will undergo surgery to remove her right kidney and ureter and have a good look around as there is potentially a concern about her bladder too. There are obviously risks associated with this surgery and although we are worried, without it her life expectancy is unknown for welfare reasons.

We have everything crossed that our beautiful Lara will make it through her surgery, recover and go on to lead a happy and healthy life. Lara is a playful and sociable young lady that truly deserves this chance.

Our wonderful Brookfield vets will be performing both Rolo and Lara’s surgeries, their knowledge, support and care are second to none and we know our dogs are always in very safe hands.

With such surgeries also comes an expected cost for the skills and treatments required.

Rolo’s entropion surgery is expected to cost at least £600 - 800.

Lara’s surgery is expected to cost around £1800.

We tick along okay most of the time, but unfortunately with two big surgeries required imminently we are in a position where we need a little help.

We know it’s a tricky time for many, but if anyone is able to spare anything to donate towards the girls upcoming surgeries we would be so incredibly grateful.
