Walking Hadrians wall in swimming trunks

On 23rd October I start my first solo self-supported mission to walk the Length of Hadrians wall in the middle of winter in Speedos, I've not googled this but I'm pretty sure nobody has ever been stupid enough to attempt this. Im hoping my Ice Mindset will see me through this as over the last 3 years I've acclimatised my body and trained my mind to deal with the cold. I've never done anything like this before so carrying all my kit and walking the walk in the opposite direction into a potentially biting headwind is going to make this all the more arduous.

You may ask the question why?  but I say why not !

The reason I am doing this is because I want to raise money for Rugby for Heroes, a charity close to my heart as they supported our two man two way English Channel relay in 2018 and eventually we were able to raise enough money through the publics generouscontributions.  I am a great believer in the charity and its cause in that it supports current and ex military personnel by helping thenm make the transition back into civilian life through a range of initiatives that imbeds them back into the heart of local communities.

Alot of businesses have suffered through Covid and Rugby for Heroes relies heavily nn funding through organised events with mass participation  and as we all know that has all ceased through covid.

I was due to go on a family boating holiday with my two young children and family on the 23rd Oct but covid put a stop to that  as there were 7 of us. To allow the holiday to go ahead I decided to step back and let the family and kids have the holiday they deserved. As you know being a kid is all about adventure and happy memories so I hope Henry (2) and Oliver (7) have a great time with my partner Becky and her parents.

So now I had a free week, I could stayed home to do some diy but that bucket list keeps chipping away in the back of my mind. I came up with the idea of walking Hadrians wall in shorts and t-shirt and my good friend Donald  McDonald said you should do it in your Speedos, see im not as mad as you think I am because this wasn't originally part of my plan .

Anyway please please do support my madness by making a charitable donation if you are able to during these uncertain and testing times

Much Appreciated
