Roman's heart surgery

10-year-old Roman was born with aortic stenosis and will undergo surgery on May 15 to repair/replace his aortic valve. As a teammate and a friend of his father I know the Lopez family would never ask for any help— however, I'm hoping this page can raise funds to help with his surgery and recovery.

A little about Roman:

Roman was born in L.A. in 2013 to Rodrigo “Roro” Lopez and Cristina Lopez. 

He grew up watching his dad pursue a career as a professional soccer player. You’ll often see Roman in the stands at Sacramento Republic games cheering on his dad, Roro, and the team that has become his family. 

Inspired to follow in his father’s footsteps, Roman plays for San Juan Soccer Club where he and his teammates became state cup finalists in 2024.

Roman is loved and considered family by many in the soccer/Sacramento community. Through this fundraiser, I hope we can all come together and show the Lopez family love and support through this difficult time.
