Romsey Men's Shed Model T Ford build
Donation protected
The Romsey Men's Shed is a not-for-profit association that supports men (mostly those retired from the workforce) within the Romsey and surrounding districts.
We aim to support men's mental health by providing a meeting place where men can come together, whether involved in projects or simply to have a chat over a cuppa.
The shed recently received a donation of a 1925 Model T ford truck from a local well-known Romsey identity Doug Newnham, with the proviso the truck be restored to its original working condition and remain with the Romsey Men's Shed.
The men's shed Committee resolved to restore the Model T (subject to available funding) and subsequently use the model T to support the local community in whichever way was deemed appropriate.
It is hoped that once restored and used within the community, the model T will help raise community awareness of the Romsey Men's Shed and the importance of men's health.
