Ron and Michelle Haarer

Hi, my name is Jenny (Williams) Stamper, and I am fundraising on behalf of my sister and brother-in-law, Michelle (Williams) and Ronald Haarer.

Ron suffered a brain bleed on January 19, 2023. The surgical team at Providence Hospital in Novi, MI removed a fairly large clot from the base of Ron's skull. While Ron was in Neuroscience ICU, he suffered multiple strokes. He was on a breathing tube for almost 2 weeks until surgeons replaced that with a trach on February 1st. Michelle was with Ron in the hospital since day 1, along with Ron's siblings and mom and extended family and friends. Ron moved to a stepdown unit at a hospital in Ann Arbor, MI on Tuesday, February 7th. The team there specializes in Ron's type of brain trauma. We are confident that with their expertise and Ron's strong, he will succeed in moving in the right direction.

This trauma has had Michelle focusing one hour at a time, as things have been changing that quickly (both positively and negatively). Ron and Michelle have a very long road ahead of them. Ron had recently been working his dream job. Without his ability to work, there will be financial struggles, including Michelle having to move from their home.

It is not in their nature to ask for help. The Haarers have helped so many others during their time together. Please consider donating to help this amazing couple. They are so much better together. According to Michelle, "When Ron breathes, I breathe."
