Ron Cato

Hello my name is Sarah and I am raising money to try to help my dad Ron Cato. My dad has been a firefighter for 30 years in Washington State. During that time he served with three different departments. Ron ended his career becoming a paid firefighter with Pend Oreille Fire District 2.In September he was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer. Ron had a craniotomy October 6th where they removed 80% of the tumor. He has spend a week 2 weeks at St.Lukes for rehab and has recently been released home. Soon he is starting chemo and radiation treatment.Since he was a paid firefighter at the time of diagnosis we contacted L&I and were told that the claim would not be paid because he wasn't a full time career firefighter for 10 years. This money will be used to help with medical expenses.My dad spent his entire adult life helping others now its time to help him.
