Ron Giles Burial

Donation protected
Ron Giles was a longtime resident and beloved neighbor in the Sugar Hill neighborhood of Harlem, New York. Always a smiling presence on West 147th Street, Ron worked to keep the streets and sidewalks clean, and he was always ready to help any neighbor who needed assistance. He was a great friend to neighborhood dogs, who all knew him as a generous dispenser of dog treats. Ron passed away suddenly and alone on February 23.

The West 147th Street Block Association is the sponsor of this fundraiser. As his neighbors, we would like to make sure that Ron receives the burial that he deserves. We have been unable, thus far, to locate any living relative of Ron's. Our goal is to provide Ron with a decent, basic burial. Without support, he will be interred in an unmarked city grave.

The goal of $3600 is for burial only. Any additional funds received will go toward creating a suitable memorial.
