I'm reaching out to you today with a mix of emotions – sadness, gratitude, and the desire to celebrate a life that was complex yet filled with moments of humor and connection.
As some of you may already know, my Dad, Ron Keys suddenly passed away this past week.
My dad wasn't just a statistic or a stereotype, he was a person with dreams, experiences, and struggles like anyone else. Despite his demons, he had a heart that cared deeply for his family and friends. His journey was marked by ups and downs, and while we couldn't always understand his choices, we knew that he was fighting his own battles.
He was somebody that knew how to make a person laugh, wether he met you with sarcasm, or a quick whited comment that caught you off guard, his humor was a constant reminder that life's challenges could be met with a smile.
My dad spent most his life in Ukiah, it was home to him, his community. Many of you knew him whether it was just saying hi in passing, sharing a laugh, or spent a chapter of life with him at one point or another, so I’m asking for your support in sending one of our own off with a proper goodbye.
If you can help out with a donation, any and all funds raised will be used to help with costs of cremation, and a memorial service that allows us to come together and say our farewells to him. If you aren’t able to donate, please share this and spread the word for him.
Thank you so much everybody!
