Ronald Dean Riel

Hello, my name is Lisa Riel Nasser. My brother, Ronald Dean Riel, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2024, at the age of 53. On behalf of myself and our sister, Lynda Riel Posgay, thank you for taking the time to read his story.

Ron led a quiet and simple life. He was kind and generous. A true Trekkie, a superfan of all things Marvel and Disney, as well as an aficionado of all sports, especially the Vegas Golden Knights. He traveled to watch baseball games and experience different baseball stadiums. We were huge Philadelphia Eagles fans, as we were both born in Philadelphia. I was the loud fan, he was much more gracious.

Ron suffered from a stroke in August of last year. Due to complications, he was not able to fully recover. Together with Ron, we made the most difficult decisions out of love for him. We are comforted to know he has reunited with our beloved parents, and also with his sweet wife and true love, Kristen.

We do not want friends and family to be sad for him, or for us. During his recovery time in the hospitals and rehab, he never wanted to see me sad or upset. When this happened, Ron was not working full time, so he was living with me and in the process of becoming more financially stable. We want to make sure Ron knows he can rest and be at peace in a lovely place where his family and friends can visit, or talk about fond memories. We appreciate your time and consideration.
