My name is Carmen and I am starting this gofundme in hopes to help my family with the unexpected loss of my uncle, Ronald Hewitt Jr. Ron was lost in an unfortunate accident that left the family devastated. Ron was a family man: a husband, a father, a grandfather, a son, a brother, a friend, and the best family me ever anyone could ask to have. To know Ron was to love him.

Ron dedicated his life to his family. He and his devoted wife, Betty, were approaching their 43rd year of marriage. His pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. His love for his grandbabies was tangible, and the majority of his days were spent caring for them. His tender love was evident, especially with his grandson John, who is autistic. Ron understood him and was able to provide for his needs unlike anyone else. His passing has left his grandchildren without a caretaker during their parent's work days.

Because of the sudden nature of this loss, the family is unsure of how they will cover the following expenses: hospital bills, Ron's upcoming memorial, funeral home expenses and cremation, assistance while his children explore other options for childcare, therapy for his grandkids while they navigate this difficult time, and any other unforeseen needs that may arise. Any help is greatly appreciated.
