Ronald McDonald House gift baskets

I am raising money to contribute to the Ronald McDonald House holiday gift basket project for mamas of sick children.
There are many toy drives for sick children this time of year, and the Ronald McDonald House does great activites both at the house and in the hospitals to bring some holiday cheer to the sick littles. But the mommies often get overlooked. So, we wanted to do something to provide some comfort to them when they find themselves enduring an unexpected and unpleasant hospital stay during this time of the year.
We are putting together gift baskets for the mothers at the Ronald McDonald House. The baskets are $60-65 each and include toiletries, gift cards for meals near the hospital, snacks, cozy blankets or slippers, and other goodies. I have committed to personally funding five baskets and I am committed to raising funds for 20 more baskets.
The baskets will be delivered on Monday, December 19, 2016. The deadline for contributing funds is THURSDAY, DECEMBER 15, 2016, so that we have enough time to purchase the items and put together the gift baskets.
Please help me help these moms.
As many of you know, the Ronald McDonald House program is deeply personal to me since my daughter spent the first six months of her life in the hospital. The folks at the Ronald McDonald House provided Dave and I and our families with snacks, beverages, and a comfortable place to be when we just needed to step out of the NICU for a few minutes. At the end of our daughter's first hospital stay, we were at the Dell Children's NICU for a few weeks, and some kind person left little gift bags for the moms in the NICU. It was an insulated lunch bag, with snacks, chocolate, bottled water, and a few other goodies. I cherished that little bag and its contents; it lifted my spirits greatly during a very scary time. I am happy to be able to now pay it forward. Thank you for joining me.
I am so thankful for your support of me while my daughter was in the NICU and thank you for helping me support these other moms.
UPDATE: Due to the incredible response we are going to be able to provide more baskets to Moms and are expanding our campaign to help out Moms who are staying in the hospital with their children.
SECOND UPDATE: We have met our holiday basket goal!! We will be using the remaining funds to provide Christmas Dinner to the families with children at St. David's NAMC, Dell Children's, and St. David's downtown.
