Ronan Moore for Meath West
Donation protected
I was honoured to be elected as a Meath County Councillor in May 2019 and I am working hard to make change happen at local level. I am standing for the Social Democrats in the next general election for Meath West, because I believe life should be about more than just existing. Our government can do so much more for what really matters to Irish people; quality of life.
The Social Democrats are a new party, unhindered by the past and the old style of politics. The most prosperous, inclusive and progressive countries on earth are social democracies and I believe Ireland can join this group, and that a great many Irish people want us to. We know that a strong, creative, prosperous, fair, equal and democratic country – in which all children have the opportunity to achieve their potential – is not just an aspiration. It can, and should be, Ireland’s reality. It's time to tackle the housing crisis; to reduce the cost of living; to fix the health crisis by introducing Sláintecare; to make public transport fit for purpose; and to deliver local amenities.
Being from Trim, where I live with my wife and young family, teaching in Navan and with parents from Westmeath, I also believe Meath has been forgotten about for far too long. It's time for joined-up thinking at local and national level; to ensure value for the taxes we pay; and equality of services for people.
Will you help me to work on your behalf? You can volunteer to canvass with me, or you could donate to my campaign.
Thank you
